Last Updated: 17.08.2026

Care and Welfare Foundation appreciates every contribution made towards our charitable and social-welfare activities.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances and procedure applicable to donations, payments, registrations, and other transactions made through www.cwfoundation.in.

1. General Donation Policy

Donations made to Care and Welfare Foundation are voluntary contributions towards charitable and social-welfare activities.

Once a donation has been successfully processed and acknowledged, it is generally considered final and non-refundable.

However, the Foundation may review refund requests in exceptional circumstances, subject to verification and applicable law.

2. Duplicate Transactions

If a donor believes that the same donation has been processed more than once due to a technical or payment-processing error, the donor may contact the Foundation with the relevant transaction details.

Where a genuine duplicate payment is confirmed, the duplicate amount may be considered for refund through the original payment method, subject to applicable payment-processing procedures.

3. Incorrect Donation Amount

If a donor accidentally enters an incorrect donation amount, the donor should contact the Foundation as soon as possible after the transaction.

The donor should provide:

  • Full name.
  • Email address.
  • Mobile number.
  • Transaction/reference number.
  • Transaction date.
  • Amount paid.
  • Correct amount intended, if applicable.
  • Reason for the refund request.

Refund requests relating to an incorrect amount will be reviewed individually.

A refund is not guaranteed solely because a donor has changed their mind after completing a donation.

4. Unauthorised Transactions

If you believe that a transaction was made without your authorisation, please notify us immediately.

You may also need to contact your bank or payment service provider and follow their procedures for reporting an unauthorised transaction.

The Foundation may request reasonable information or documentation to investigate the matter.

5. Failed or Unsuccessful Transactions

Sometimes a payment may appear to fail even though the amount has been temporarily debited from the donor's bank account.

In such cases, the amount may be automatically reversed by the bank or payment gateway within the applicable processing period.

If the amount is not reversed within the expected period, the donor may contact us with the transaction reference details so that we can assist in reviewing the matter.

6. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, the Foundation will generally initiate the refund through the original payment channel or payment method, where technically and legally possible.

The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the donor's bank account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card network, UPI service provider, or other financial institution.

The Foundation does not control the processing time of third-party financial institutions.

7. Cancellation of Recurring Donations

Where recurring donations or subscriptions are supported, donors may request cancellation of future contributions.

A cancellation request should be made before the next scheduled payment is processed.

If a recurring payment has already been successfully processed before the cancellation request is received, that payment may be treated as a completed donation and may not be refundable except in exceptional circumstances.

8. Event and Programme Registration Cancellation

Where the Foundation collects a fee for a particular event, programme, workshop, training session, or activity, the cancellation and refund terms applicable to that activity may be separately communicated during registration.

If no separate refund terms are provided, the Foundation will review cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis.

9. Event Cancellation by the Foundation

If an event or paid programme is cancelled by the Foundation, the Foundation may, depending on the circumstances:

  • Reschedule the event.
  • Offer an alternative programme or date.
  • Provide a refund where applicable.
  • Convert the amount into a charitable contribution where the donor voluntarily agrees to such treatment.

Any refund will be subject to the nature of the payment and applicable legal and payment-processing requirements.

10. Donation Campaigns

A donation campaign may have a specific objective, target, duration, or beneficiary group.

Campaign details may change because of circumstances beyond the Foundation's control.

If a campaign reaches its objective, is discontinued, or can no longer proceed in its original form, funds may, subject to applicable law, be used for a substantially similar charitable purpose.

11. Tax and Donation Receipts

Refunds may have implications for donation acknowledgements, receipts, or tax benefits.

Where a donation has already been acknowledged through a receipt or other official documentation and is subsequently refunded, the Foundation may cancel, amend, or otherwise appropriately adjust the relevant records as required.

Donors are responsible for ensuring that they do not claim a tax benefit for an amount that has subsequently been refunded or otherwise rendered ineligible.
